Time for a change

12 January 2017

Leaving work on my last day

Every few years, I tend to go through a big change in life. Ten years ago, it was selling my first business and moving to Manchester for university. After university I moved to London for work, then started another business (which sadly didn’t work out). Most recently, it was the decision to go and work for a big enterprise, Marks & Spencer. Now it is time for another change.

The time I have spent working at M&S has been great. With a fantastic group of colleagues, I was able to build the best product of my career so far. I have learnt so much about a variety of disciplines, learnt how to get work done in a large organisation, and grown a lot personally. However, with the company now going through a large restructure, along with another big change in working methods, I decided that now would be a good time to move on.

So what next? I’m taking this change as an opportunity to do some traveling, take some time off, and consider a move away from London. I’ll be flying to Bangkok in a few days, and spending two to three months exploring south east Asia with Sam. After traveling, the plan is to head to Berlin.

And then? I’ll find out in time…
